That song composed by Ryuichi Sakamoto is a part of the movie Merry Christmas Mr Lawrence (1983), who also plays the character "Captain Yonoi".
Why I am writing a note about ? cause there's a little story with:
First time I heard that song (I mean the original one) I was about 6 and during many years, I wondered who have composed such beautiful melodies. In 1997 (I was 18), a movie called Furyo(1) is broadcasted on TV. And at the very start of the film, I immediately recognized that song which was turning around in my head for years o___O !!! Damnit !!!! Could you just guess what I've felt ?! At last, I finaly knew who's the guy behind it and I bought the soundtrack just after !
